This project is part of a comprehensive renovation in Adlershof, Berlin’s "City of Science." Our challenge was to take an existing structural shell and reinvent its identity. We were tasked with developing multiple façade concepts - ranging from minimalist to industrial - to find a solution that appeals to young professionals while respecting the technological character of the district.

Tech-Inspired Facades & Green Living

We started with the bare structural frame and explored various "skins" for the building. We presented the client with distinct design directions, allowing them to visualize different investment strategies - from strict minimalism to a more rugged industrial aesthetic - before committing to construction.

From the proposed options, the client selected this laconic, minimalist design. Its rhythmic geometry and clean lines perfectly reflect the high-tech nature of the surrounding innovation district. We visualized this approved concept in both daylight and evening scenarios to demonstrate how thoughtful architectural lighting creates a sense of safety and coziness.

To maximize the building's sellable value, we activated the unused rooftop, turning it into a primary social hub. Our concept creates a "park in the sky" featuring a lush green lawn with sun loungers and a fully equipped lounge bar. This visualization proved how a technical roof could become a premium amenity for work and meetings.

We designed the courtyard as a private sanctuary with distinct zoning. The Active Zone features outdoor coworking spaces, while the Quiet Zone offers a calming water feature and yoga lawns - directly enhancing the residents' quality of life.

The Outcome: We created a holistic visual narrative that redefined this renovation project. By developing a strong façade identity and revealing the potential of the public spaces, we transformed an outdated structure into a desirable modern complex. This comprehensive package provided our partner with the assets needed to successfully market the "Academy Park" lifestyle to a demanding young audience.
